History
This original Antebellum home built in the late 1800’s was a wedding gift to a couple. In 1994, The Magnolia House named for the Magnolia trees surrounding the property became a wedding and special event venue.
As of July 2021, new owners Deacon Dwayne Green along with wife Dionne Green manages and operates the now renamed venue, “The Green Magnolia” that reflects the natural serene beauty of the Downtown Historic Powder Springs area. Recently renovated to add a chic feel however the character of the era remains present in the space.
The Green Magnolia, a 13,000+ square feet venue, features not only various indoor spaces including a ceremony area but outdoor options as well in the lovely, “Magnolia Pavilion” that encompass a gazebo with lush characteristics, manicured lawn and variety of topiary, florals, and ferns for curb appeal. The main ballroom can seat 200 banquet style with dance floor or 250 cocktail style when inside ceremony area is utilized in conjunction with the main ballroom. The outdoor Magnolia Pavilion seats 150.
The Green Magnolia includes a well-lit parking lot with up to 85+ spaces and overflow parking at nearby facility three doors down to add 65+ spaces (valet parking is optional), wrap around porch, commercial prep kitchen, tavern bar, bride and groom’s suite and ladies and gentlemen’s lounge.
